Blenders are a very useful set of kitchen appliance. Chopping, blending and extracting fruit juices amongst others have become very easy and convenient with minimum effort and time expended on the process. There are robust, handy and compact yet powerful blenders available in the market, each having its own technical specifications and design. Although the purpose of all blenders is the same, technology and innovation has not remained stagnant in this area. Manufacturers have observed the process from close quarters and have designed blades, jars, appropriated motor power and churning techniques etc so that the food or fruits inside the jar is processed, chopped, mixed or pureed or the ice inside the jar is crushed in the best possible manner and with an even texture and blend. They are even be used for kneading dough or making wheat flour out of whole wheat grains.

Blendtec as a company has presented the market with its Blendtec blender. These blenders have been used for years by blending professionals in juice bars, coffee shops etc and is known for producing the best, most consistent results in taste and texture. The Blendtec blenders jar is quite unique in design. It is square shaped. The sixty four ounce jar is made of polycarbonate and is half the weight in comparison to others jars of similar volume. The jar is ergonomically designed allowing a three way pouring action for its contents. The unique design of the jar creates a vortex within the jar which in turn creates a force that pulls the contents of the jar towards the bottom and through the blade’s rotational area so that uncut fruits or other contents which float at the top can be drawn inwards to the bottom for crushing. This feature does away with the need for using a plunger or tamper. Although the clear see through jar is marked up to thirty two ounces but, it has a capacity of 64 ounce when filled up to the brim. The patented shape of the jar sports a single pronged wingtip blade which carries a lifetime warranty. The Blendtec jar has an easy to open lid.

Caring for and cleaning the jar is quite convenient as well. Unlike other jars which need to be disassembled, one need not do any such thing with the Blendtec jar. Actually, the blade is welded to the jar and should never be removed. Simply dropping in some detergent and water and spinning, draining and rinsing will serve well to keep it clean. If using a dishwasher, the temperature should be kept below 104 degree Centigrade. Sanitizing agents if used should be as per manufacturer’s specification (diluted if requires) to prevent the jar’s walls from becoming cloudy. For long use and to protect the jar’s drive contacts, it should not be placed on the base while the motor is running.
