Blendtec Blenders are new age blenders built specifically to suit a wide range of kitchen needs and also to satisfy the whims of the Health-conscious people. There are numerous models performing varied functions which range from making a simple smoothie to milling grain or making flour. All these blenders are supposed to simplify a wide range of kitchen chores which would otherwise have consumed a lot of time as well as energy.

The Basic Blender from Blendtec called “Total Blender Basic” is suitable for small to medium blending activity like crushing ice cubes or making peanut butter etc. The Blender is equipped with a 1560 watt 13 amp motor and weighs around 7 pounds. It has a sleek design with an electronic control panel. There are six pre-programmed cycles as well as manual speed control. All the blenders from blendtec come with jars called “Pitchers” (where the actual blending takes place). They are made of unbreakable material known as “Triton Copolyster” covered by vented lids. The blenders come in four colors namely White, Black, Coffee and Red.
Another variant called “Total Blender Wildside” comes with a larger jar and improved blade assembly for more heavy duty operations. Another model named “Total Blender Wildside Combo” comes with two pitchers with different blade assemblies. All the above three models carry a warranty period of three years.

More powerful models like “Connoisseur” and “Tom Dickson Signature Blender” come with a host of features which suit heavy duty blending activity. Both the blenders are built for kitchen countertops equipped with chrome plated motors. Especially the “Tom Dickson Signature Blender” has a mammoth 2400 watt 20 amp motor that virtually pulverizes almost everything put into it. It also has 25 pre-programmed cycles supporting various forms of blending. The “Connoisseur” comes with a five year warranty whereas the “Tom Dickson Signature Blender” comes with a solid ten year warranty.

All these blenders have their own set of demerits when compared to same class of other popular blenders in the market. When compared to Vitamix blenders, Blendtec blenders score less in terms of noise. They are supposed to be the noisiest of blenders. Also, Blendtec machines mainly operate in programmed cycles. There is no way one can control the blending till the program is done. Sometimes the pre-programmed cycles do not work well for certain food stuffs. Vitamix has a simple manual control which can be manipulated as and when needed. But Blendtec Blenders score more in terms of occupation of space. They are less bulky and are more portable. Vitamix offers two different sets of blade assemblies called Dry and Wet, Whereas Blendtec boast of a single blade assembly that does the job of both.

On the whole, Blendtec Blenders offer countless options for people to experiment with, with various food stuffs. There being a minor difference in prices of various blenders of the same class, the customer should choose among them more carefully and meticulously. “Utility and Adaptability” are the key factors.
