Blenders should have certain important characteristics such as a powerful motor which enables the consumer to prepare and have the drink of his choice. The Drink Machine is a two step blender. There are two models available, the Drink Machine model 5006 equipped with a forty eight ounce container jar and Drink Machine model 1230 with a 64 ounce container. The Company claims that this Drink Machine is much faster and powerful than any other competing brand in the market.

The key feature is its two step operation. The two step motor is not only powerful, but also gives the option of variable speed control. When the electronically controlled motor starts, it produces a higher turning force (called torque) at the axel or the motor’s spindle. The low RPM (rotation per minute) high torque start gives all the grinding power that is required in the beginning of the food processing process before shifting into the high speed low RPM movement. The higher speed in turn helps in creating perfect blends for ingredients of various densities. In case most other blenders, the ice gets stuck at the base of blade or remains uncrushed, whereas, the Vita-Mix Drink Machine crushes it all without burning out the motor. The Drink Machine also has the option to manually shift from one speed to another which enables customizing the blend as per ones’ requirement.

The machines are built to withstand heavy use and wear and tear. The blender is laden with utilitarian features. The blades are made of stainless steel with sealed ball bearings. The jar which comes with the Drink Maker is patented and made out if polycarbonate, which imparts it with features of strength, durability and an unbreakable character. The container is universal as well in the sense that it can be used to blend as little as 4 ounces or as much as 60 ounces without a need to change jars in accordance with volume. The metal to metal contact of the driver provides maximum durability and minimum loss of energy. The driver and blades can be conveniently replaced. It’s pretty easy to clean and maintain as well. The machine is a bit quieter when compared to other blenders. It has a noise reduction pad and thermally protected motor preventing it from getting burnt out. The switches are shielded against moisture to protect against electrical short circuits and shocks. In other words, the Vita-Mix Drink Machine is a good blender to buy.
